A Technology Support Center that addresses the transportation needs and issues of small-to-medium size cities, focusing on enhancing transportation systems through the use of advanced traffic analysis and ITS solutions to address safety and mobility problems. Also provides VISSIM training.
Advanced Transportation Technology Initiative
An initiative of the Economic and Workforce Development Program of California Community Colleges. Advanced Transportation Technology Centers are located at community colleges throughout the state providing vocational training on alternative fuels and intelligent transportation systems.
American Concrete Institute
A technical and educational society that produces technical documents, reports, guides, specifications, and codes for the best use of concrete; conducts educational seminars; and has certification programs for concrete practitioners.
American Concrete Pavement Association
A national association representing concrete pavement contractors, cement companies, equipment and material manufacturers and suppliers with the goal to make portland cement concrete the material of choice for airport, highway, industrial, street and local road pavements.
American Institute for Professional Training
The center for advanced construction education was founded as part of the American Institute for Professional training and Development in 1990 in Washington DC. The institute is a non-profit organization that develops and delivers educational programs to meet future educational challenges of working professionals.
American Planning Association
APA is a nonprofit public interest and research organization committed to urban, suburban, regional, and rural planning. APA and its professional institute, the American Institute of Certified Planners, advance the art and science of planning to meet the needs of people and society. Training materials are available to APA chapters and members, and members of other organizations, to help them create training workshops for planners.
American Public Works Association
An international educational and professional association of public agencies, private sector companies, and individuals dedicated to providing high quality public works goods and services. APWA provides a forum in which public works professionals can exchange ideas, improve professional competency, increase the performance of their agencies and companies, and bring important public works-related topics to public attention in local, state and federal arenas.
Arizona Local Technical Assistance Program
The Arizona LTAP provides technical assistance and training for the transportation practitioner. LTAP is the primary way that the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) helps local transportation agencies learn about maintaining and improving their roads, innovative methods and materials, and ways to work smarter.
Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association
The Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association is the International Organization representing the asphalt emulsion industry. AEMA's mission is to expand the use and applications of asphalt emulsions.

California Office of Traffic Safety
The goal of the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) is to reduce deaths, injuries and economic losses resulting from traffic related collisions. We do this by funding traffic safety programs that have impact both state-wide and in individual communities. From impaired driving enforcement to encouraging seat belt usage, speed enforcement to bicycle safety, OTS funded programs are saving lives and futures every day on California’s roadways.
California Pavement Preservation Center
The State of California, Department of Transportation (Caltrans) established the California Pavement Preservation Center at California State University, Chico in June 2006. The purpose of the Center is to provide pavement preservation services to public agencies and industry. Unique services include developing educational programs in pavement preservation, providing training and staff development opportunities, providing needed technical assistance to public agencies and industry, and managing/conducting research and outreach assistance.
California Planning Foundation
A non-profit, charitable corporation with the goal of furthering the professional practice of planning in California. The primary focus is providing scholarships and awards to university students in financial need. A secondary function is fostering professional development through the clearinghouse.providership of workshops, publications, research studies and other continuing educational and professional programs.
California Strategic Highway Safety Plan
The 2005 Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) established a new Highway Safety Improvement Program for the purpose of achieving a significant reduction in traffic fatalities and serious injuries on public roads. As required under SAFETEA-LU, the California Department of Transportation led the effort to develop California’s Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) to identify key safety needs of the State, and strategies that address these needs. California’s SHSP was approved by the Secretary of the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency (BTH) on September 26, 2006.
California Transit Association
The California Transit Association is committed to a collaborative approach to advocating for improved transit operations throughout California. We work with local, state and federal legislators, and are the primary advocate for transit in the state.
With support and active engagement from member organizations, the California Transit Association is focused on implementing transit-friendly policy, a balanced transportation system, and increased transit funding.
Caltrans Division of Mass Transportation
Provides professional development and educational services to transit planning staff, including technical training, a transit program overview at the Department's Transportation Planner Academy, "Transit 101" courses, maintenance and financial management training, and a Transit/Paratransit Management Certificate Program.
Canadian Urban Transit Institute
With the goal to establish public transit as the primary solution to urban mobility in the achievement of sustainable transportation, and to assist its members in the fulfillment of their mandates, CUTA membership includes 100 transit systems, 10 government agencies (Federal, Provincial and Municipal), 200 business members (the firms or persons engaged in the manufacture or sale of transit equipment or services)including consultants, and 50 affiliates. Colorado State Tribal Technical Assistance Program
The Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) and the Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP) provides technical assistance to local and tribal transportation agencies through a network of LTAP/TTAP centers. It is sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration. TTAP centers are also sponsored by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

An organization of universities and industry associations that provides on-line training on intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and advanced transportation topics.
Construction Safety Council
The Construction Safety Council was founded in 1989 as a non-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of safety and health interests in the field of construction throughout the world.
Context Sensitive Solutions Clearinghouse
Context sensitive solutions (CSS) is a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach that involves all stakeholders to develop a transportation facility that fits its physical setting and preserves scenic, aesthetic, historic and environmental resources, while maintaining safety and mobility. CSS is an approach that considers the total context within which a transportation improvement project will exist.
CSS is a highly effective approach to planning and designing streets, roads and highways so that they are more sensitive to the communities and lands through which they travel. CSS recognizes that transportation projects can be an asset for communities and enhance the environment.
This Clearinghouse contains built examples of CSS projects, case studies, cutting-edge research, information, and policy documents. It addresses a broad range of issues, including design standards, liability, stakeholder involvement and new techniques in transportation problem-solving. A variety of support tools are available to make these resources easily accessible to our visitors including interactive and customized information; discussion forums of self-organized user groups to facilitate communication and collaboration; and an on-line newsletter that summarizes new developments in CSS policy, training and practice.

Northern California Asphalt Pavement Association
The Northern California Asphalt Pavement Association (NCAPA) is the lead industry representative for the Hot Mixed Asphalt (HMA) industry in Northern California. NCAPA represents companies involved with the California hot mixed asphalt (HMA) pavement system. Members include HMA producers, asphalt refiners, paving contractors, testing labs, consulting engineers, and product suppliers. NCAPA works closely with Caltrans, local agencies, university researchers, and regional and national industry associations. Northwest Tribal Technical Assistance Program
The Northwest Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP) is a program funded by Cooperative Agreements with the Federal Highways Administration (FHWA) to assist tribes in developing transportation resources, infrastructure, and development opportunities for Northwest Tribes. Northwest TTAP publishes quarterly newsletters, the Northwest Tribal Transportation News, provides technology transfer materials including films, books and pamphlets dealing with road and highway planning to interested tribes and parties, provides information services including training on intergovernmental transportation planning and conducts or arranges seminars and training sessions on topics of concern to American Indian tribal governments.

Southern California Association of Governments
Over the past four decades, the Southern California Association of Governments has evolved as the largest of nearly 700 councils of government in the United States, functioning as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for six counties: Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura and Imperial. The region encompasses a population exceeding 18 million persons in an area of more than 38,000 square miles.
As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Association of Governments is mandated by the federal government to research and draw up plans for transportation, growth management, hazardous waste management, and air quality. Additional mandates exist at the state level.

Transportation Research Board
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) is a division of the National Research Council, which serves as an independent adviser to the federal government and others on scientific and technical questions of national importance. Washington LTAP Center
The WST2 Center is one of 57 Technology Transfer Centers that make up the national Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP). As a partnership between WSDOT, FHWA & Washington State local agencies, the Center provides a coordinated technology transfer program that is responsive to local agencies. The goal of the WST2 Center is to enhance the technical and management skills and knowledge of local agencies staff so they can use resources more efficiently and effectively through sharing and coordination of technical expertise, training, technical materials, technical advice, and services.
