Aviation is undergoing a dramatic transformation. Technological advancements in electrification, autonomy, and vertical/short take-off and landing (VTOL/STOL) are enabling innovations in urban and regional aviation, including new aircraft designs, services, and business models. These trends are converging to enable new opportunities for emergency response, humanitarian missions, logistics, and passenger mobility.
The Future of Aviation Conference: Advancing Aerial Mobility through Technology, Sustainability, and On-Demand Flight will be held in person at San Francisco International Airport August 2nd through the 5th. The conference will kick-off with an AAM 101 workshop hosted by the Community Air Mobility Initiative (CAMI) on August 2nd. The full conference program will begin on August 3rd. The conference will advance key research and policy discussions around environmental impacts, safety, security, equity, multimodal integration, and the role of government. Optional tours will be available in and around SFO on August 5th.
The Future of Aviation Conference will facilitate a lively dialogue among public-sector organizations, private companies, non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions. This conference will provide attendees with an opportunity to participate in an exciting scientific program and a venue to network with colleagues and friends who are also passionate about the future of advanced air mobility policy and research. The conference will foster a thoughtful discussion about the opportunities and challenges of planning, integrating, scaling, and governing advanced air mobility.
